Dakko Dakko exists to bring inventive, lively and rewarding video games to the world!
Started by former Lionhead and Q-Games developer Rhodri Broadbent, Dakko Dakko created and published their debut title ‘The 2D Adventures of Rotating Octopus Character’ in 2011 for Sony’s PSP, to great acclaim and success.
Building on that success, ‘Floating Cloud God Saves the Pilgrims’ was released in 2012 featuring beautifully vibrant landscapes and a totally unique gameplay system, establishing Dakko Dakko as a leading independent PlayStation developer.
With the launch of Nintendo Wii U, Dakko Dakko moved to support multiple platforms and released the mouse-blasting, rail-riding action game ‘Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails‘ for Nintendo and Sony systems in 2014, to rave reviews.
Collaborating with friends at Simogo and Nintendo, Dakko Dakko helped to bring Swedish horror classic ‘Year Walk’ to Wii U in 2015, re-designing the game’s puzzles in inventive new ways to take full advantage of the Wii U GamePad. By combining the use of motion sensors, the touch screen and button inputs, the Wii U version of Year Walk brings the game’s distinctive wintry folklore to life like never before.
The team at Dakko Dakko are now hard at work on their most ambitious, unusual, and engaging project yet, to be released in 2016. Please look forward to more information in the very near future!
